My husband and I have really been enjoying the "Triple Treat" package. The blistering peanuts are crunchy, the chocolate covered ones taste chocolaty and the peanut brittle is divine. The only thing I would have liked any different is a much tighter packed jar or a larger jar of the peanut brittle because it's so yummy!!

I purchased the Bertie County Triple Treat for my sister, who grew up in Atlanta, but lives in New Jersey. She is a homesick southerner, so this delicious sample of North Carolina peanuts was a perfect gift. She said that the dark chocolate covered peanuts reminded her of the famous candy counter at Rich's Department Store in downtown Atlanta, where our Mother worked. Her husband commandeered the peanut brittle. Both loved the blister fried over ice cream. It was a hit!

Triple threat was a gift for someone, but I have had the blister fried peanuts and they are excellent. The chocolate covered nuts use the blister fried nut as a base and are better than chocolate covered nuts from a couple of other peanut vendors, one in NC and one in VA.

All the peanuts are delicious. However, I had not realized the chocolate coating is made with hydrogenated palm kernel oil until I read the ingredient list on the package--which is not available online. I try to avoid hydrogenated oils and might have made a different choice if I had had this information.
